Ironwood Remote Observatory or "IRO" is powered by an eco-friendly system which utilizes solar power and high speed wireless technology that is off-grid. IRO is completely assembled/tested at our facilities and transported to its remote site which minimizes environmental impact. IRO is an unattended self-monitoring observatory that reacts to its changing internal and external conditions dynamically. This eliminates the need for an onsite presence, further reducing IRO's operating carbon-footprint to zero. IRO is operated via the Internet using only a web browser.
